INTRODUCTION

The Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu South [RCKKS], chartered on the 14th November 1989 by the Rotary International, is a Non-Governmental Organisation [NGO] which subscribes to Rotary International motto of “Service above Self”. It is not a charitable organisation but renders assistance to the under-priviledged, the needy and the less fortunate members of society particularly those in the rural areas. It is a non-political and non-religious association of business and professional men and women drawn together with a common purpose of doing community works locally and to the world at large through various humanitarian programs of Rotary International for the promotion of world understanding, goodwill and peace.

The mission of the Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu South is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

The Club's EMBLEM is made up of the three main elements, namely the silhouette of Mount Kinabalu in the background, a symbol of the Sabah Museum and the native motif depicting "The Meeting"in the foreground. The silhouette of Mount Kinabalu in coloured Royal Blue (BIO) while the background colour representing the sky and land is Icicle Blue (CTT9). The symbol of the Sabah Museum is while in Colour with a Chili Red (S6R4) outline.  The native Motif depicting "The Meeting"is Coloured Chili Red (S6R4).

The Club's Emblem symbolizes the prominence of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah. The Sabah Museum as a landmark in the Kota Kinabalu South area and the importance of weekly meetings for the Rotary clubs.
